Shuts off when trying to warm up

When I start my 1999 ford explorer in the cold morning it idles and shuts off

Check for water in gas. Use a bottle of heat. If the problem remains after running through a tank of gas, check fuel pressure, fuel filter, pressure regulator.

Also, a check engine light on? If so, have computer scanned and send me the codes.
