Hello, my explorer has both the lower and upper intake manifold gaskets leaking. Its a vacuum leak and I was told that it can cause my exhaust valve to burn. It has been leaking for about 10000 miles. My explorer has a tough time starting now. It acts like its misfiring when trying to start. It still runs fine and gets around 21 mpg. Also, I have a lot of oil buildup around the crossmember and around the front of the block around the radiator. I was told my Oil head gasket was bad, however my oil stays full on the dipstick so how can i be leaking and have the dipstick still staying full? It still gets the regular oil changes every 3000 miles. I use Castrol Oil and a Fram Oil Filter.
