Car was wrecked and rebuilt. Battery light comes on. I was told weak alternator
Replaced with rebuilt, over night. Battery light on. I bought an new battery, hour later and battery light on. Drove through storm, lights, wiper, headlights, defrost on, battery light on. Went home, went to store, turned off. Battery was dead. Jumped off and shut off in one minute, Jumped again and couldn't keep running.
Took rebuilt alternator and got another. Battery light on when starting. New battery and alternato. What is problem?

First check for a blown blue 15 amp fuse that feeds the voltage regulator on the back of the generator. (The voltage regulator is on the back of the generator, not the fuse). If that is okay, you'll need a voltmeter so we can do a few quick tests.
