Steering wheel itself is very wobbly

If it moves up and down and sideways, suspect a broken hinge pin for the tilt wheel. They are available from the dealer, but a special tool is need to pull them out. It's a metal block with a tapered bolt running through it and a nut on that bolt. You thread the tapered bolt into the center hole in the pin, then tighten the nut to pull the pin out. The new pin is just tapped into place.
