I need to replace the wires in the plug located in the driver's side door jam controling the electric windows etc. The wires are "locked" into the plug itself. How do I release the wires for replacement? Im a girl so don't get too technical on me please.

I eliminate the connector, extend the wires and tape them up for the flexing.

Sorry, but its a common issue for that door style and a common repair for that exact issue.
Has nothing to do with doing it right.

There are tools that will release the terminals as you want. Autozone will have them.
Why dont you check with the dealer parts for the actual connector with the pigtails attached?
