Truck backfires when acceleration

I have a 99 dodge ram 318 magnum v8 it seems that everytime I punch the gas it hesitates or backfires but stop when I pump the gas pedal any advice

My 2001 ram with 360 did that similar thing and my ignition coil was going bad might want to check the coil, also maybe go to advance and get it scanned to make sure nothing else is going bad
