I Have a 1999 Dodge Dakota 4x4 3.9L and I got a Rubbing noise like a Hub bearing going out but it doesn't do it all the time and when I touch the brakes it goes out - I Replaced everything, Complete CV axles, Hubs, Flex Hoses, Brake Calipers, Rotors, Pads all on both sides and it still does it - Mostly moving slow you can hear it rubbing and fairly loud but as soon as you touch again the brakes it goes away. Have you got any Ideal what it might be - I'm Thinking Front Wheel axle Bearings now but just Guessing - Any help would be very Helpful

That sounds like it is related to the brakes. Have you checked to see if the backing plate behind the rotor is rubbing? Also, check to make sure the rubber hoses to the calipers are in good condition and that the anti-rattle clips for the brake pads aren't rubbing. They go bad inside and only allow fluid to pass one direction. Thus, you get a brake sticking. As far as the hub bearings, the noise will change when you make turns, so check if that happens.

Let me know what you find.
