- On my 99 dodge grand caravan, code P1968, "no message from transmission control module". Van works well, but I need to clear codes to pass NY State inspection. How is this fixed?

Yes, it is correct. I just replaced instrument cluster on same vehicle, would that make a difference?

Which model do you have, ES, LE or SE?

Changing the meter cluster can trigger codes if there is a communication error beteewn the Body control Modules but the code you listed is not among the list of trouble codes for the vehicle.

I unhooked the battery, the codes cleared and stayed off. NYS inspection sticker is on. Thanks.
