My husband is having to replace the transmission in my van because low gear burnt up. We found one at a salvage yard, but the motor is locked up. Any advice on how to pull this thing without being able to turn the motor?

Drop the engine and transmission together, which is actually easier, unbolt the transmission from the engine, slide it back, then you'll be able to access the three hidden torque converter bolts.
