Replaced the fuel pump and the van runs good but it is hard starting. Had a little trouble getting the o ring on locking nut. Could this be causing my hard starts?

The fuel pressure was at 50 psi but the static pressure dropped down to 10 psi. I checked the static pressure on a dodge intrepid and it held at 25 psi static pressure. Could it be that seal on the locking cap of the fuel pump?

Fuel pump could be weak, leaking injector/s or fuel pressure regulator-fuel pump check valve

I bought a cheap fuel pump on line. Looks like I'm going to replace it with a good one from a good auto parts store. It is acting like its a bad fuel regulator. Nice of dodge to put the regulator on top of the fuel pump. I think a new pump will fix the problem. Thanks for your advice again.
