I changed water pump and timing belt on dodge stratus 2.4 dohc. Had to remove cam sprockets. Do both sprockets need to be oriented "up" on face? I thought I reinstalled both the way they came off but car wont start. Sounds wrong when I crank, like theres no compression.

Go to our homepage under the DIY section for timing belt diagrams. Based on your description, it sounds out of time. Please note, I believe this is an interferance engine. If the timing is too far out, it could bend a valve.
