is it worth changing my transmission on my town and country,

sometimes will go in high gear but sometimes won't but lately it will just rev up then kick into gear while driving, computor put on it said unfuctional data?? could it be sensor

you mean you had codes read with code reader at a parts store? what was the exact reading? have you stopped at a transmission shop o have them give an opinion?
