Do I need a special tool to remove the discharge line from the condenser to the drier on a 1999 Chrysler Sebring Convertible JXI Limited?

The discharge line goes from the compressor to the condenser. That would be the liquid line you're talking about.
That is connected with a pad mount fitting that all you need is a socket to remove the bolt/nut.
