I had it tested today and a code came up P1698, What does this mean?

All of the gauges have quit and the check engine light is on

It reads, "No Computer Controlled Dwell to the Transmission control Module".
The issue is hard to say much more as it could be either sensor. The TCM is behind the instrument cluster.
If you go to a repair shop with a really nice code reader, sometimes you can get more information. At this point, the CCD is not sending its signal probably due to its failure.
