1999 chrysler concorde brake pad alighnment clips

how are you supposed to install the brake pad alighnment clips that come with some hardware kits and are they necessary. Can you re-use the clips that were on the car?

The best is to use the new ones but look at the old ones to determine how they go on. It can't be described without pictures.

They are spring metal and will lose some of their tension after being hot many times. Their purpose is to prevent rattles and often to provide a replaceable wear surface to prevent grooves from wearing in the mounting knuckle. Use the new ones if they're provided.
