I have a 99 cirrus with a 2.5L. It loses power on accelerarion and the check engine light has flashed on and off s couple of times but is now off. I may have an exhaust leak that I'm investigating. Im trying to check the fault codes. Is it possible to get the engine fault codes without a OBDII scanner? I've tried the on-off-on-off-on key sequence but no luck. I've also tried turning it on and off in various combinations while the car is in neutral with the p-brake on but no luck. Anyone know a trick for obtaining the fault codes? Thanks.
