Front driveshaft

On my 1999 chey tahoe 4wd 5.7, I am trying to remove the front driveshaft to determine if my problem is in the front differential, after removing the front part, I can't get the driveshaft to slide forward. So the question is: how do I get it to slide forward?

Hello,

Try to move the C clip loosen it so the shaft will b come shorted which will help you remove to from the front differential and transfer case. Check out the image below.

I only needed to open the clamp securing the boot at the transfer case output shaft. Thanks for your help this site is great!
