Whinning noise from under the hood?

1999 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN

The noise comes from this object (air diverter valve I think) when the car is driving or idling. This object is connected to the air pump via hoses and connects with the exaust manifolds. Send pics or describe it to me on where it is what it does? Thanks!

it does what exactly it says it diverts air to the exaust manifolds to reduce nox. this is acommon problem if you can put pup with thenoise then do so because if you change it it will end up doing the same thing.
