My truck stalls while im driving. When the vehicle cools down, it runs until it gets warm or when I drive a few miles {10 or 20). I ran out of gas completely (empty) and it has been stalling ever since.

In tank fuel pumps are cooled and lubricated by the fuel in the tank. When you run a car out of gas, it pumps a lot of air through the pump which overheats it and causes some severe wear and many times, failure when they cool off.
You will need to use a fuel pressure gauge to verify this

I would think this would require multiple instances of empty tank since I cant imagine companies designing a pump that would fail the first time you ran out of gas?

I wonder if they put a warning in the owners manual? I dont think this is commmon knowledge. Considering the high cost of replacement it's the least they could do?
