Check the fluid level might be still low

Check the place that you have the filter replaced from what else have they done to it-something is wrong here

just got off the fon with them and they say that it's burned out and i need to get a new 1

They should have told you that in the very beginning that the tranny is shot before they replace the filter, maybe they took a chance with the filter hoping it'll work-
