I GO UP TO 45 OR 50 MPH AND IT JUST HUMS IN THE 4 TH GEAR. IS THERE A RELAY SWITCH THAT I MIGHT NEED TO CHECK?

It could be a shift solenoid. If the check engine light has come on, have the computer scanned to identify if there are any trans trouble codes. Most parts stores will do it for free.
