That only shows things that were reported such as crashes where the police were involved and recalls issued by GM. It won't show if the recalls were performed or ignored. You're better off having it inspected by an independent repair shop. High mileage is not much of a factor like it was many years ago. Crash damage can be repaired just fine by good body shops. An inspection will find evidence of severe crash damage repairs. Even with a clean Carfax and no problems found during an inspection, you can still have problems just like you can with a brand new truck. There's only one vehicle in the world that never breaks down, (well, almost), and I'm driving it! I'm pleased you're looking at a '99 model. Starting with the '02 models, GM built the Body Computer into the radio so you can't replace it and you have to get it repaired by the very expensive authorized repair shops after going through the dealer. GM is very good at separating owners from their money after the sale. It's one way the remain so profitable.
