1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4.... keep burning up front drive shaft u joints. I have carried to a local mechanic and he says it it not the transfer case. He replaced ujoints, but within 3 months they are gone again! What could be the problem?

The truck it totally “stock”. It has 165k miles on it and 4x4 is used often. I have replaced front wheel bearings and CV axles….do you think it could be the transfer case?
