1999 s10 fuel and temp gages not working

I have a 99 s10 and the gas and temp gage does not work, i have checked fuses and they are ok, truck runs fine all other gages work but just those two, is there any way to test the gage in the dash itself, without taking out the fuel pump,

Check for power to the inst panel. If the power is there, then the gauge itself is the problem unless there is a short in the printed circuit board within the cluster itself.
