How does one disconnect the fuel return line from the back end of a fuel rail 2.2L VIN 4 SFI

I am removing the intake manifold and need to detach the fuel return, I backed off a large threaded cap and there is a black
plastic ring but I don't see any kind of release or coupling, the supply end had a quick couple which I released.

Once that nut is loose it should come right off unless there is bracket further back holding the line in place with a bolt.
