Chevy won't crank over or start, any ideas as to why?

I attempt to start my truck, only to have it not comply. My truck doesn't turn over at all. It is a manual truck which just one day stopped working. I wish I could describe the sound it makes.I'll most likely describe the sound better when I could think of more accurate words to explain it. The battery is not the issue since I charged the battery only to have my truck still unresponsive. I even changed the spark plugs, so that isn't the issue either. Any ideas as to what is causing my truck not to turn over would be much appreciated.

-Try engaging the engine by shorting the starter solenoid out and see if it will crank engine over-

U need to check the voltage at the starter on the battery cable and check for start signal coming from the ingition switch with the key in crank position. Also hold the key in crank position and tap on the starter. And see if it cranks. Try to start in neutral too.
