shifts into 4th the transmission is slipping

I have a 1999 monte carlo z34 3.8l and when I drive it shifts into all the gears good but as soon as it shifts into 4th the transmission is slipping.

When I drive my car if fee kmls like the transmission is slipping and only does it when it reaches 80 km the other gears shift fine and also the transmissioin oil is a brownish color after about a month of driving what could be the problem

It sounds like the clutches are worn and a rebuild is in order
