1999 Monte Carlo door latch

My sons door was frozen shut so he pulled on the latch and finally opened it and now it will not stay shut. He said it will noit stay latched. What do you suggest?

Check to make sure the latch still isn't frozen. Next, if the latch is good and not stuck in the closed position, you need to remove the door panel to make sure nothing has damaged the linkage (bent).

Let me know what you find.
