I thought it was the evap canister purge valve but it wasn't.

Everytime I put gas in my 99' Chevy Malibu V6 (3.1) it'll start up but turns off unless I keep reving it up, what causes this problem?

Start by having the fuel pressure check if okay check the IACV and EGR valve
