i have a 1999vette automatic the shifter linkage broke or came off ,its freeplaying and is stuck in reverse of course it willnot start , i jacked car up and there are sealed panels under car how do i repair this ,is this repair done from inside car under console is this a hard job.

This vehicle has a shift cable you're going to have to get underneath it on the left side and see what happen with the transmission linkage in either came off at the transmission or at the consul you'll have to do some more investigation
