why wont the clutch shaft push into the clutch master cylinder

i just replaced the pivot point shaft on the top of the clutch pedal.i put everything back together and i cant push the clutch pedal.the master cylinder was replaced 2 months ago

recheck to make sure pushrod is hooked up ok and not onto sheetmetal.
