1998 to 2004 are from the same model group but interchangeability depends on what part you are refering to as along the way some adaptatons were made.

GM has some parts that haven't changed in 20 years and some parts that won't interchange within the same year and model.

Yes if the part number matches. There are different versions of PCM for the same model as some have a different power ratings for the engines.

You can't simply put a used computer in that car. Your VIN is burned into the programming and it won't recognize one from another car. The dealer may be able to reprogram it but they may refuse to.

Only if the part # is the same and I know they wont. So no you cant.
