When the car is put in drive, the information center says "service stability system". I can clear by hitting "information reset" and it stays off until the next time the car is turned off then on again.
Also, the ABS light and traction control light come on and stay on. The car operates normally. The Cadillac dealer ran diagnostic tests and said I needed an ECM (no longer available from Cadillac) and a BPMV (very pricey!) since there are no detectable performance issues with the car, are there any other suggestions or options ?

The only suggestion is to find used parts in a salvage yard. The ABS will not work if you need it.
