The fuse for the windshield wipers blows as soon as I put a new one in even with the wiper motor unplugged. How do I track down the short?

Instead of blowing one fuse after another get a multimeter and check the wiper fuse holder one side will have power. The other side will be the circuit side hook up the red lead of the meter to the circuit side of fuse holder then the black lead to a ground. Then put the meter on low scale ohm setting. You will read the short on the meter that is blowing the fuse. That way you won't have to waste anymore fuse's finding the short.I would leave the wiper motor unplugged and try unplugging the wiper switch see if the short to ground goes away.Let me know what you find.

insure the wiper harness isnt under the delay cover also ck. the motor harness u definatly go a pinched wire. most likely its the delay harness if u unplug 2 wire motor harness and it blows. so uhook both harness and test.pull on harness to see if they are free of the delay board and motor. ill monitor post goodluck
