Battery is charged, but nothing electrical works (no lights, dashboard indicators, ignition.).
When attempting to start the car this morning, I heard a brief but unidentifiable sound that appeared to come from the dash area, then all electrical functions stopped.

First check the battery electrical terminals. Look for corrosion and that the clamps are tight. You should not be able to move them by hand. Next you what to check the wiring and fuses for the starting system. Next I would test the ignition switch if all else tests good.
Let me know if this answers your question or if you have any more questions.

You were dead on, Ty. One battery terminal (Caddy uses the flat type on the side of the battery) could be moved ever-so-slightly, but a hard tightening solved the problem.
