How do I replace lower crank case seal and oil pan gasket

Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Transmission and Drivetrain.
Drain the engine oil.
Remove thirteen oil pan bolts and remove the pan.
The gasket is reusable unless damaged. Do not remove the gasket from the oil pan groove unless replacement is required.
Installation Procedure

Install the new oil pan seal if required by starting the seal into the pan groove and working the seal into the groove in both directions. Once the seal is exposed to the oil it will expand and no longer stay in the groove without wrinkles. If this condition exists, replace it with a new seal.
Position the oil pan to the crankcase.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install thirteen oil pan bolts.
Tighten the oil pan bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) In sequence shown.
Install the transmission.
Refill the engine oil.
