yes there is a fitting made of plastic going to metal fuel line. When I push down on it gas quits coming out. I am assuming there is an o-ring missing or destroyed. This question is about my gas leaking out of top of engine back side. After fuel pressure gets to the engine when I turn the key it leaks.

It sounds like you have a shradder valve that needs to be replaced or you have an injector O ring that need to be replaced. Use a flash light and then turn the key on to see if you can tell where it is coming from. Here is a guide that will help you see what you are in for when changing the O ring.

Please let us know what happens.
