transmission just quits

1999 Buick LaSebre , driving getting on a fwy on ramp transmission just quit, have no gear , no reverse, no first , second, third, check the linkage its fin , do transmissions completely go out like that or could it be something else, solinoid, relay, modulator?

Has trans fluid was"nt ho , did'nt make any kind of noise just stop like it was in N. tried shifting to first and second third and nothing. need help fast

Transmission failure at 210,000 miles isn't out of the question.
