heat problem

i have an 99 bmw 323i and i just changed the thermostat but the vehicle continues to heat up can someone give me advice could it be the water pump or the radiator fan timing unit

have you bleed all the air out of the system, is the heater hot? do the cooling fans turn on? have you had the radiator professionally cleaned, a flush with a hose will not clean out any blocked core tubes.
