Yesterday I drove from Baltimore to York, PA using highway 83. I arrived in York. At the second light I was pressing the break to slow down. I heard a pop then the grinding noise started. I thought my tire blew because I could tell a difference in the way the tire was moving and the pop sound. Fortunately my dad was in the car In front of me and he showed me where the caliber was grinding into the rim. We have no idea why, how this happened. My dad and I would like it fix. He is no mechanic but he is great with tools and great with instructions. Please help. It is the right front passenger side.

It sounds like a caliper bolt may have broke, so if you would remove the tire and get a good pic of it and include it, that way I can see what happened and better help you.

Hi Racefan966, thank you so much for your help! The top bolt on the caliper bracket is missing. Unfortunately I was unable to get a picture. My dad hammered it in place to line up and hold where the bolt will be. Now our challenge is finding the right size bolt without taking the other one off. The local advance auto part store did not have the bolt we needed. We were going to try the Home Depot store, but we do not know the size needed. I did happen to find the acura part number, 14 45240-SM4-003 / BOLT, FLANGE (10X24). Push come to shove I will wait tomorrow to purchase from my local honda/acura parts dealership. Again thank you ! Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

As I have had done before (local napa store) have them see what the bolt size is on a new caliper and get it that way. The napa part number is 83442, it is a caliper bolt kit should be about 10 to 12 dollars.
