When it is set on heat, cold air blows instead. This happens every once in a while and it happens at city and highway speeds and has happened for up to half an hour at a time. The dealer said it is OEM 79600-SZ3-A02ZB CONTROL ASSY., AUTO AIR CONDITIONER *NH1L* ($1,600) another dealer said it may be the air mix motor/belnd actuator. My mechanic kept and tested the car for 4 days and the problem never happened, he tested everything and also made sure that the wires behind the glove compartment move smoothly. I found the control assembly used for $137 and the air mix motor (new) for $68. My question is because every used part (control assembly in this case) means that you can inherit a new problem, should I have my mechanic replace both these parts I bought? Is there another reason for the problem that you have encountered? I never have the problem with the a/c blowing heat. The cold air blowing from the heat happens from all vents.
