How is a door stop (check) replaced on a 1998 V70 Volvo (wagon 2.4 engine)? Is this a wrench and screw driver "outside" job or do I have to remove the door to replace the door stop? What's the "trick"?

THANKS!

I was confused initiall and thought it was the striker etc. When I was typing my answer, the part came to light, lol. It is the door check ( the one for holding and preventing the door from self-closing).

I can't remember which design is used on thsi vhicle so was not able to provide the correct answer.

Me either. If it's what I think it is, it should require a small hammer and punch mainly.
