1998 Volvo V70. So, after dismantling our car to replace a bunk starter, we are left over with one random bracket. Looks like it would hold the fan carriage and/or some wires in place, but not really sure how so, and of course, this is the only thing we did not label as we took it out. What is it, what does it do, and where do I put it?

To me it looks like a bracket for the canister purge valve? That would attach on the radiator fan on the left side (drivers side) if I remember correctly? Let me know if I am right or wrong? May need to look out for a 1998 V70 in the shop tomorrow if it is not?
