Batteries give off explosive hydrogen gas. Sparks are not a good idea near any battery. Check the cable connections to be sure they're clean and tight. If in doubt, visit an auto parts store or your mechanic for advice.

THIS IS A DRAW ON THE BATTERY. SOMETHING IS STAYING ON. CHECK IT BY REMOVING THE NEG. CABLE. THEN HOOK A VOLT METER OR TEST LIGHT FROM THE CABLE TO THE BATTERY. IF ITS SPARKING BAD THAT IS A BIG DRAW. WE CAN START HERE. DISCONNECT THE BATTERY OVERNIGHT TO KEEP IT FROM GOING DEAD.
