1998 VW replace fuse for power windows separate fuses HOW DO YOU GET TO THEM?

Manual 1998 VW Golf, GTI& Cabrio. Fuse arrangement left to right, separate fuses (located above the relays) WHERE ARE THESE FUSES LOCATED. HOW DO YOU GET TO THEM? ABS hydraulic pump fuse 30, ABS main fuse 30, A/C fuse 30, Power windows fuse 20, cruise control fuse 5, cigarette lighter fuse 15.

Hello - the information we show for the Golf, there is a fuse holder in the engine compartment left side and a fuse relay panel behind left side of dash. I have also attached the pic for the fuse relay panel.
For the GTI it also says left side of the engine compartment and the fuse relay panel behind left side of dash and I attached that pic.
For the Cabrio the same and the that pic is also attached.

Just changed mine today, they are in a real nasty place to get to. The easiest way to get to those fuses believe it or not is pop the lighting knob panel out and the spare empty panel next to it with a flat head screwdriver. This will reveal if you look in there with a flashlight you will see a yellow, blue and red fuse about 8" back in there, I suggest you have someone with a small wrist reach in with a small pair of needle nose pliers and pull out the blue fuse and replace it with a new one. This should fix your problem
