1998 Volkswagen Beetle Must Run Over Bump Cracked Oil Pan Because Leaked Out

I must have run over a bump and cracked my oil pan because all the oil leaked out while I was parked having dinner. Is it safe to drive it 7 miles to my mechanics or should I have it towed? The oil tester stick comes up dry.

Have it towed, it'll be cheaper than replacing a seized engine!
