1998 Toyota Tercel heater

when you turn the heater on and drive for at least 1/2 it will make a loud screeching noise and start cutting out. have had it in the shop a couple of times. only does it when the heater is running and not all the time.

Is it the blower motor that is making the noise, if so I would say the bushes or bearings in the motor are running dry and making the noise, I would be looking at this first.
