In Replacing right side drive axle, I have disconnected the axle from hub, removed intermediate shaft retaining bolt and spring clip. My manuel says at this point that I sholud be able to pull out the spline joint from the transmission case. it doesnt come out. What can I do to finish removing the axle?

It is held in with a clip on the end of the spline, if you use a suitable small lever carefully pry between shaft and transmission an it will pop out.
