why does my car start but runs slowly,as though if it was loosing compression?

starts,but runs very slow,like it is running on only two sparkpluggs

If the RPMs are low, check the idle air control valve. Also, check for vacuum leaks. Also, if the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned to see if there are any trouble codes.
