my corolla g6 1.3... when i take off in my car and drive away its feirce dead and when it hits 5000 revs it kicks in and the car takes off, people have told me its like v-tec in a civic, something has to be wrong wat is it?

Automatic or manual transmission?

Seems to be a fault with the transmission or clutch system.
